072424: The Woodland Hills Trails system has been cleared by our contractor and is open for use. Please be aware of the high mosquito population and take proper precautions while using the parks and trails.
The Woodland Hills Trail Association contractors will continue to remove fallen, leaning, and dead trees on our trail property as needed.
Neighbors, some parts of the trail system are clear and many sections remain to be cleared. We strongly urge that residents refrain from using the trails until the debris cleanup is complete. Please continue to report fallen trees, leaning trees, and branches hanging from trees in the parks and along the trails. We continue to address the issues with our tree removal contractors reported through the 'Contact Us' form on this site or reported to Sterling Association Management at kingwood@sterlingasi.com .
071424: Post Hurricane Beryl Update:
Update from the Woodland Hills Trail Association:
Our contract landscaper has at this posting:
Cleared the roadways that were blocked by fallen trees from the WHTA property.
Cleaned up Stoltz Park and The McGucken Family Park. Today, they will be focusing on clearing and cleanup of Corrigan Park. The greenbelts will be closed for an unknown time period due to an estimated 45+ trees blocking the greenbelt. The tree removal and greenbelt cleanup could take months, and residents who use the greenbelt for walking exercise may want to use other greenbeĺts until our work is completed.

A frequently asked question: Can I build a path from my backyard to the greenbelt?
Answer: Owners of property adjoining the Greenbelts may clear
Greenbelt property of trees and undergrowth with trunk
diameter of less than two inches for a distance of 3 feet from
their personal property line but any construction or altering of
contour will not be allowed. Similarly, such owners may clear a
single pathway not more than 3 feet in width between their
property and the hard-surfaced Greenbelt, however, such
pathways shall not be paved or edged with logs, stones, etc.
In 2023, the existing basketball court at Stoltz Park was resurfaced to host basketball and pickleball. Pickleball players will need to supply their own equipment and net.
